Milwaukee 5502, one of the trusty Milwaukee GE U-boats leads its brethren by the old SPS Hoyt Street yard office in Portland with a Tacoma bound freight in the days when 40' boxcars and cabooses were the mainstay of America's railroads.

Burlington Northern 806 leads Seattle-bound train 146 out of a still used Portland 'depot yard' on a Summer Saturday evening in the 1970's.  The locomotives, the train, and even the yard are now history--victims of deregulation, trucking and stack packs.
